September Product Update

This release is a big one for anyone using the phone screener. We've overhauled our telephony stack, tightened up how you manage communication channels, and shipped a number of improvements under the hood that make the whole platform faster and more reliable. Here's a peek at what's changed.

Phone calls in Studiio currently support our C1 carrier, this update adds the functionality for our new C2 carrier. A significant upgrade to the infrastructure behind your on-air phone experience. Everything you already know... the phone screener, call screening, call transfers, hold music, recording and transcription is still there, now running on a more reliable foundation.

For stations using the in-browser phone screener, this means better call quality, more stable connections, and improved handling of multiple simultaneous calls. Your presenters and producers connect directly from the browser as before, no extra software needed.

Our C1 carrier phone numbers will be gradually migrated to our C2 carrier over the coming weeks. We will send you an email with more details regarding this and any expected downtime.

We've made a round of updates across SMS/MMS, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and Instagram Direct, tidying up how messages, threads, and accounts are displayed and managed. The changes are subtle but add up to a noticeably smoother experience when you're switching between channels mid-show.

The Content tab has been rebuilt from the ground up. It's no longer just a document editor, it's a central workspace for everything that goes into a show.

You can now record, edit, and mix audio directly in Studiio. Layer multiple tracks, cut and splice clips, adjust levels, and export a finished mix, all without leaving your browser. Whether you're building a pre-recorded segment, editing an interview, or assembling a bulletin, the tools are right there alongside your script.

Multiple people can edit the same document at the same time. You'll see coloured presence indicators showing who else is in the document, and changes appear live without refreshing. Great for producers and presenters working together before a show.

Every save is now a revision. Open the history sidebar to browse past versions of any document, preview what it looked like, and restore it with a single click. No more losing work.

You can now set per-document access permissions directly from the content editor. Control who can view or edit individual scripts, runsheets, or bulletins.

Create document templates for recurring formats, show runsheets, news bulletins, interview guides, and apply them when creating new content. Consistent structure, less setup every week.

Your dashboard has two new modules.

gives you a horizontal view of the full day, your scheduled shows, content items, and phone activity all laid out in a single scrollable timeline. It automatically scrolls to the current time so you can see at a glance where you are in the day.

surfaces the documents your team has been working on most recently, so you can jump straight back in without hunting through folders.

You can now register webhook endpoints to receive real-time HTTP notifications when things happen in Studiio, new listeners, content changes, phone events, and more. Configure which events you want, view a delivery log per webhook, and retry failed deliveries. Available under Settings > Webhooks.

The API key management page has been rebuilt. You can now create scoped keys with fine-grained permissions, choosing exactly which resources each key can read or write. Each key also has its own activity log so you can see how and when it's being used.

You can now manage your own news and weather data sources from Settings.

lets you add any RSS, Atom, JSON, or XML feed alongside Studiio's built-in wire. Preview feeds before adding them, map custom fields, and choose which categories to pull from.

lets you connect your own weatherapi.com or OpenWeatherMap key, or point to any custom JSON weather endpoint. Configure multiple locations and field mappings for your region.

If you visit Studiio on iOS or Android, you'll now see a prompt to add it to your home screen. This gives you a full-screen, app-like experience without going through an app store.

Your billing page has been rebuilt. You can now see a clear breakdown of your current plan, track usage across different features, view your full invoice history, and manage your payment method, all from a single easier-to-navigate page.

Inviting team members, managing roles, and setting permissions have all been redesigned to be clearer and quicker. The Noticeboard and Alerts sections have also been rebuilt with a cleaner layout, better filtering, and an improved editing experience.

We've upgraded our caching infrastructure to handle real-time data, things like live phone screener state, call routing, and on-air status more efficiently. In practice this means less lag between actions and what you see on screen, and better resilience if there's a brief connectivity blip.
