Mobile alerts for SMS

I'd like to know when a message has been received when the studio is unattended. I have the browser open on my mobile but don't get alerts to new messages. If we can't trigger notifications via browser on mobile, is there some other simple interface (basic app only showing SMS?) that can notify about new messages and allow responses to SMS's received)?

Hey Matt,
Thanks for your feedback :-)
Hmm we definitely can support browser notifications within Studio Panels. Big downside is it's web based so you need to have a browser tab open with your Studio Panel to receive notifications.
I think it would be better to support web notifications via the Dashboard instead as I have a service worker installed there (which means you can install it as a web app via your iPhone or Android device and notifications will always work).
Alternatives:
- I could add an SMS trigger to send you an email upon every new message (this could get annoying)
- I could set up daily or weekly email notifications for all communications received on your account (a little summary of the day/week with some stats, but this wouldnt show you the texts themselves)
What works best for you?

James Davey thanks! Anything that would make my mobile ping when a new sms is received would be awesome :)

Matt Sivyer: Sounds good, I'll add SMS to start off with and then add more later down the track.
Stage 1: Ensure service worker is working ✅
Stage 2: Add SMS notifications to service worker (in progress)

Matt Sivyer: Quick update, I have pushed a change to the dashboard for browser notifications.
You can find it here:https://dashboard.studiio.io/settings/notifications
You can subscribe devices to notifications and pick between SMS/MMS message notifications and chat notifications.
If you want notifications on a mobile device (iOS and Android), you'll need to install the dashboard as a web app:
Simply navigate to https://dashboard.studiio.io/ on your mobile device.
iOS:
Tap the Share button, which is the square icon with an arrow pointing upwards, located in the bottom center of the screen.
Select "Add to Home Screen" from the menu that appears.
Tap "Add" in the top right corner.
You will then see Studiio added as an app to your home screen
Android:
Open the menu: Tap the three-dot menu icon in the upper-right corner of the browser window.
Select "Add to Home screen": From the dropdown menu, choose the "Add to Home screen" option.
Confirm and install: A pop-up will appear. You may have the option to customize the app's name before tapping "Add" or "Install" to finalize the process.
You will then see Studiio added as an app to your home screen
To enable notifications in the app, open it and navigate to Settings > Notifications and register the device.
